About the Position
The Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty role in Marketing at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This opportunity is ideal for those seeking business faculty jobs on marketing and sales. The position begins August 1, 2026, or until filled.

Key Responsibilities
The chosen candidate will conduct impactful research and teach three courses each year at either the undergraduate or graduate level. Faculty are also expected to take part in department and college service. Candidates with a focus on sales research or related areas in marketing strategy are especially encouraged to apply.

  • Associate Professor applicants should demonstrate strong interest or experience in teaching or developing content for Graduate and Executive Education (GEE) programs, such as the MS in Marketing, Executive MBA in Healthcare or Strategic Leadership, Physicians Executive MBA, and Aerospace and Defense MBA.
  • Assistant Professor applicants are encouraged to show willingness to contribute to GEE programs after tenure.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Marketing or a closely related field (must be completed by start date)
  • Proven ability or strong potential to conduct high-quality research publishable in top marketing journals
  • Ability to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels
