Job Summary
The Department of Business Administration at the University of Illinois invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Business Analytics, Operations, and Supply Chain Management. This role is part of the Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Business Analytics (IOSA) area. The successful candidate will contribute to research, teaching, and service while helping to advance the department’s reputation in these critical fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research in business analytics, operations, information systems, or supply chain management.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in relevant disciplines, including online and in-person formats.
• Publish in top-tier academic journals and engage in collaborative research initiatives.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program innovation.
• Provide service to the department, college, and broader academic community.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. (or expected completion by June 1, 2025) in Business Analytics, Operations Management, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A strong research portfolio demonstrating potential for high-impact publications.
• Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
• Ability to contribute to the department’s research and teaching excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with empirical modeling, behavioral experiments, data analytics, machine learning, operations research, or game theory.
• Demonstrated ability to teach in diverse learning formats, including online and hybrid courses.
• Potential for leadership in research and academic initiatives.

Salary and Appointment Information

• This is a full-time, 9-month academic tenure-track position.
• The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $190,000 - $200,000, with opportunities for summer appointments.
• Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
