The Herbel Family School of Accountancy, housed within the College of Business at Kansas State University, invites applications for a full-time Teaching Professor position in accounting. The successful candidate will teach three undergraduate or graduate courses per semester and contribute to the service mission of the Department of Accounting and the College of Business. Teaching Professors are also expected to engage in applied research to maintain AACSB accreditation. Course assignments will depend on departmental needs, with particular value placed on candidates who can teach taxation or accounting information systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in accounting or a Ph.D. in accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited business school.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student learning and development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent in accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited business school.
  • University-level teaching experience in accounting.
  • Professional accounting experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion, with an understanding of varied experiences and perspectives.
