About the Role
The Department of Finance in the College of Business Administration (CBA) at Kansas State University invites applications for an Instructor position in Finance. This role involves both teaching and service responsibilities, with an approximate split of 60% teaching and 40% service.

Teaching Responsibilities
The preferred area of expertise is financial services. The selected candidate will teach financial services courses as a core part of their teaching assignment and should also be capable of teaching a supplementary subject, such as principles of finance.

Service Responsibilities
The candidate is expected to actively contribute to the department and college through service activities, which may include:

• Advising student organizations
• Participating in academic events
• Engaging with students, alumni, and corporate partners as a department representative
• Serving on departmental or college committees as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• MBA (preferred) or a master’s degree in finance or a related field (if MBA, it must be from an AACSB-accredited institution)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant professional experience in financial services (e.g., banking, insurance, real estate)
• Proven ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to students or professionals
• University-level teaching experience in finance or a related field
• Ability to teach additional subjects beyond financial services, such as principles of finance
• Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and collaborative engagement with colleagues and students
