Ajman University invites applications for a full-time position as Assistant/Associate Professor in Information Technology, commencing in Fall 2025/2026. The position is part of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Program within the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT).

We seek candidates with an exceptional track record in research, a dedication to teaching and mentoring, and a strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and service.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Academic Background: A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience teaching Information Technology courses, particularly in:
    • Security, Network Security, and Ethical Hacking.
    • Additional IT-related courses, including User Interface Design, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Multimedia Technology, Web Technologies, Databases, Data Structures, and Programming.
  • Research Credentials: Demonstrated success in publishing high-quality research in leading internationally recognized journals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Teaching and Learning

  • Develop and teach undergraduate courses in Information Technology and Computer Science.
  • Incorporate innovative, technology-driven methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Evaluate and monitor individual student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure academic success.

Research

  • Conduct and publish impactful research in top-tier international journals.
  • Actively seek opportunities for interdisciplinary research and collaborative projects.

Service and Community Engagement

  • Participate in departmental, college, and university committees as assigned.
  • Provide consultancy services to researchers and the business community.
  • Promote the growth and reputation of Ajman University locally and internationally.
  • Establish and maintain respectful, culturally sensitive relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider community.

Professional Development

  • Stay updated on emerging trends in IT education and industry needs.
  • Seek innovative methods and resources to achieve course and program objectives.
