Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship

About the Position
American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship in the Department of Management, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship (MS&E). The role combines teaching, research, and service within one of the region’s most respected AACSB-accredited business schools.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:

• Teach undergraduate, MBA, and PhD courses in areas such as strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation management, social entrepreneurship, and global strategy.
• Conduct high-impact research with potential for publication in leading journals.
• Contribute to departmental service, collaboration, and curriculum development.

Qualifications
Applicants must have a PhD in Management from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABD candidates near completion will be considered). Candidates should demonstrate:

• A strong research pipeline with working papers or published studies in top-tier management journals.
• The ability to teach across diverse strategy and entrepreneurship topics.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to academic excellence.

About the Department
The MS&E Department includes 17 full-time faculty from 16 nationalities. Its members publish in respected journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of World Business, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Journal of Management Studies. The department also hosts the Sheikh Saoud Bin Khalid Bin Khalid Al Qassimi Chair in Family Business and the Said T. Khoury Chair of Leadership Studies.

About the School of Business Administration
The School of Business Administration (SBA) at AUS is ranked among the top 300 universities worldwide for business and management studies (QS 2025). Its MBA program is ranked 2nd in the UAE and top 200 globally (QS 2026). The school offers undergraduate and graduate programs across disciplines such as accounting, finance, economics, management, and information systems, maintaining AACSB accreditation since 2011.
