Assistant Professor of Management

The Plaster School of Business (PSB) at Missouri Southern State University is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management position, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2025.

Duties include:

• Teaching undergraduate courses in operations management, statistics, and supply chain. The ability to teach international business and/or strategic management as secondary courses is desirable. There may also be opportunities to teach graduate courses.
• Utilizing emerging technologies in instruction.
• Delivering courses through traditional, online, and alternative instructional methods.
• Maintaining an active research agenda, leading to presentations and peer-reviewed publications in applied and pedagogical disciplines.
• Demonstrating enthusiasm for student engagement and mentorship.
• Contributing service to the department, college, university, and the broader business and professional community.

Required Qualifications:

• A doctorate with a concentration in operations management, supply chain, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution by August 1, 2025. ABD candidates may be considered for a visiting position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Publications in refereed in-discipline journals.
• Relevant business experience.

The Plaster School of Business is accredited by ACBSP and is actively pursuing AACSB accreditation. It comprises 18 full-time faculty members and offers undergraduate programs in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Business, HR Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management, as well as an MBA and an M.S. in Data Analytics.
