Position Overview

The School of Management invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Management Analytics, with a focus on Leadership, Strategy, or Organization Science. This position is scheduled to begin in mid-August 2025, subject to budget approval.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Educational Background: A Ph.D. in Management or a related interdisciplinary field (such as systems engineering or psychology) is required, or candidates must have completed all degree requirements by August 18, 2025.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in areas like natural language processing/embeddings, machine learning, generative AI, and/or dynamic modeling is essential for analyzing temporal dynamics.
  • Research Potential: Evidence of the ability to build a strong scholarly research record is needed. Applicants should submit samples of published work, manuscripts under review, or in-progress research targeting top-tier academic journals.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated skills in multilevel research and innovative teaching.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and data management abilities to address strategic business challenges and enhance managerial decision-making.
  • A collaborative research orientation that complements ongoing initiatives in organization science, leadership/management, or human capital resource emergence.

Responsibilities

  • Research: Generate original, high-impact research to be published in leading business journals. The School of Management supports research endeavors with summer funding during the first three years.
  • Teaching: Provide instruction in analytics as it relates to leadership, management, strategic management, and organization sciences across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. The teaching load is typically 2 courses per semester (2+2).
  • Advising: Actively engage in the school’s graduate programs through mentoring and advising students.
  • Service: Contribute to the university community by participating in committees, shared governance, curriculum development, and other service activities.
