The Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship at Montana State University is seeking applications for a tenure-track Finance faculty position. We are looking for candidates committed to teaching excellence, impactful research, and who will thrive in our vibrant, mountainous setting.

Our finance program offers an undergraduate concentration within the BS in Business and significantly contributes to the new MS in Innovation and Management graduate program. The successful candidate will teach a variety of finance courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with a teaching load of five sections per academic year. Responsibilities also include interdisciplinary collaboration, student advising, scholarly research, and active participation in college and university service. Faculty members are expected to publish impactful research in reputable, peer-reviewed finance journals.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Finance or a closely related field by the start date.
  2. Ability to teach finance courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  3. Potential to develop a successful scholarly research program leading to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in delivering high-quality instruction in finance data analytics or taxation.
  2. A pipeline of finance-related research aimed at publication in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  3. Relevant professional experience in finance.
  4. Applicable professional finance certifications.
