About the Position
The University of South Dakota’s Beacom School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance. As the leading business school in South Dakota, Beacom is recognized for its top programs and commitment to academic excellence. This role is a key part of our growing team, focused on business school faculty jobs in finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, with an annual load of eighteen credit hours (typically six classes).
  • Courses may include Advanced Corporate Finance, Financial Statement Analysis, and other core finance topics.
  • Classes may be delivered on our Vermillion campus, Sioux Falls campus, and online, supporting a wide range of business administration faculty jobs.
  • Create engaging learning experiences and provide student mentorship in and out of the classroom.
  • Contribute to ongoing research and professional service within the department and the business community.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited business school is required. Candidates who are ABD (All But Dissertation) with a successful defense by the start date will also be considered.
  • Evidence of, or potential for, scholarly research and publication in finance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
