Overview

Kansas State University’s College of Business Administration (CBA) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position specializing in Human Resources Management. This role is part of the Department of Management, which is dedicated to advancing high-quality research, teaching, and service in business education. Responsibilities

Research:

  • Develop and sustain a robust research program in Human Resources Management.
  • Publish findings in top-tier academic journals in the field and build a significant research track record in line with departmental guidelines.

Teaching:

  • Deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior.
  • Integrate data analytics into the curriculum, reflecting the CBA’s innovative approach to business education.
  • Demonstrate effective teaching practices and engage with diverse student cohorts.

Service:

  • Participate actively in departmental and college governance.
  • Foster a collegial environment that values diversity, inclusion, and belonging among students, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in Human Resource Management or a closely related area from an AACSB accredited institution. ABD candidates are welcome provided they can complete their Ph.D. within six months of their start date at K-State.
  • Demonstrated ability to publish in high-quality academic journals and develop a significant research track record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong record of research evidenced by publications in leading academic journals and presentations at national conferences.
  • Prior experience teaching at the university level in Human Resource Management or related fields.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Relevant professional experience in Human Resources Management.
  • Proven capacity to teach advanced courses in the discipline.
  • A commitment to understanding and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic settings.
