Assistant or Associate Professor (Tenure-Track) in Logistics & Supply Chain Management

Tarleton State University’s Dr. Sam Pack College of Business invites applications from exceptional candidates for a 9‑month tenure-track position in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This role is an exciting opportunity to help develop innovative, globally minded business leaders through our expanding undergraduate and graduate programs.
Position Details
• Location: Main campus, Stephenville, Texas (summer appointment subject to need and funding)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or as required by teaching and work demands)
• Flexibility: May involve teaching at other campuses or online per institutional discretion
Primary Responsibilities
Teaching & Service – 60%
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions for both undergraduate and graduate courses in supply chain management.
• Develop comprehensive syllabi, select high-quality instructional materials, and design varied assessments (exams, quizzes, papers, etc.).
• Evaluate student performance with timely feedback and utilize learning outcomes to refine teaching practices and curricula.
• Create a dynamic, inclusive learning environment that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and hands-on experiences.
• Provide academic support through regular office hours, mentorship, and personalized guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff on course coordination, resource sharing, and program development.
• Serve on college committees, support student and faculty recruitment, and mentor new and adjunct faculty.
Research, Scholarship & Creative Activity – 40%
• Establish and maintain an active research agenda in logistics, supply chain management, or a closely related field.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals, present findings at professional conferences, and contribute to advancing knowledge in the discipline.
• Pursue external funding opportunities and work toward achieving national or international professional recognition.
Minimum Qualifications
• Earned doctorate (or terminal degree) in Business with a focus on Supply Chain Management or a closely related discipline from an AACSB‑accredited institution (degree must be conferred by August 2025).
• Demonstrated record meeting AACSB standards for scholarly excellence.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Deep understanding of disciplinary subject matter at a level appropriate for graduate instruction and proven ability to engage collaboratively with students, colleagues, and staff.
Compensation
Competitive and commensurate with experience.
