The Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship at Montana State University is seeking applications for a tenure-track accounting position. Program Overview:
- Degrees Offered: Bachelor of Science in Business with an accounting concentration and a Master of Professional Accountancy.
Position Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction across various accounting courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with a standard teaching load of 15 credit hours annually.
- Coursework: Teach required and elective courses within the undergraduate business major focusing on accounting, as well as graduate courses in the Master of Professional Accountancy program.
- Advising: Provide guidance and mentorship to students.
- Research: Engage in scholarly research with the goal of publishing in reputable, peer-reviewed accounting journals.
- Service: Contribute to college and university service and engagement activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Accounting or a closely related field by the start date, or a JD with a focus on taxation by the start date.
- Demonstrated potential to teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
- Demonstrated potential to develop a successful research program leading to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality instruction in accounting data analytics or taxation courses.
- An active research pipeline aimed at publication in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Relevant professional accounting experience.
- Professional accounting certifications.
